that is hesitant to hunt Deer on someone elses land when they invite you? Let me first say that I am very blessed and married into a family with lots of hunting land in southern oklahoma. One of my wifes best friends, who lives near the family land, invited (more like pressured me) to hunt their place this weekend. Her exact words "kill anything you want!" I know they have some VERY nice deer on their place, but for some reason I feel I should only look to shoot a doe. I guess I feel this way, because myself and my FIL are very restrictive on anyone who hunts the family land.

Not sure what your beliefs are but I try and let the bible lead all my decisions. In luke it tell us that if someone is trying to give (money, time, or in this case a deer hunt) out of the goodness of their heart and not because they expect something in return, then we should never hesitate to accept it. If deny someone the right to give out of love/friendship, then we deny them the chance to have God return whatever they have given. Hope this helps some. Have a merry Christmas and good luck with whatever you decide to do!

I see it as a chance to have a great hunt. Go do it. See what opportunities arise.
If you get a doe, then good. If you get an above average buck, Then good. If you get a monster, Then good. Be humble and thankful for the generous offer no matter what opportunity presents itself.
If you don't take her up on the offer what have you lost? Nothing really just an opportunity to hunt and maybe a chance to make her day by giving you this gift.
But, If you do take her up on the offer what do you have to gain? No one knows yet. Heck you may not even get a chance to let one fly!!! I hope you doGood luck and post up some LDP's

I agree with you about being reserve. Maybe ask if she has any trail cam pics of deer she would like to see shot. If she says it doesn't matter well go sit and take inventory. Let her know what you saw and think you might wanna shoot. If she gives you the green light again well go kill you a deer.
