If I have the super combo...what else is needed to fish for trout as I've never done it here in Texas? I know in Kansas I had to buy a trout stamp for $9.

nada, your good to go

if you bought them seperatly, you would have to buy the fishing lic. but also buy a fresh water stamp and/or a saltwater stamp if you wanted to do that as well

I helped my buddy with his 11 new scouts yesterday at the Freshwater Fishery Center. They had a blast and it was a lot of fun teaching them a little about fishing! They ended up with 44 nice pan sized rainbows. For those of you who have never tried it, you don't have to go the fly fishing route unless you want to. The method we always use with the scouts is about the same as perch jerking. We use very small hooks and salmon eggs. Add a bobber about 5 feet up and some split shot and you are in business.
