Hunt is off to a bad start.

Well was planning on being on the stand around 2:30 but looks like that's not happening. Broke down in Seguin and managed to limp it to the Ford dealer. They are headed to San Antonio to get the part. Hope this hunt gets better cause I know it ain't getting cheaper. Hope to be on the stand in the morning now. Just had to vent.

ive changed a starter on my truck in the middle of a pasture at the lease. It was pre-season and hot but we had plenty o beer. wasn't too bad.

Hope your break down isnt too costly

Good luck getting back on the road. I changed a fule pump two years ago (in the tank kind) at the lease. Be glad it is Seguin and not Ft Stockton. If I never spend another minute in Ft Stockton, I'll live a happy life.

OK update; Limped into Griffith Ford in Seguin and after speaking with service and having two fine mechanics look at my issue (hole in my fuel line supplying diesel to my fuel filter) on my Powerstroke. They could repair but did not have the part. That meant a trip to San Antonio or New Braunfels for the part. This was at noon. Seguin to New Braunfels 25 min then back. I said lets do it and I was looking at dropping $300 on this repair. Sitting in waiting room around 2pm thinking it had to be just about done when a different service man walks in and said you know your hose is not going to be here till 4pm. Well I HAD to see the manager and find out what was up. Big lack of communications some where in there organization. No one had even started to go get my hose. Well to cut this story short Scott the manager at Griffith said he was sorry and at 4pm I drove out of that dealership not paying a dime even after insisting on paying for the parts. He said no. Bad experience ended up OK. Now I ready to get on the stand in the morning.

That's my home town--I'll tell your story to others around town. Not often a dealer does you "that" right.

                  Good luck on the hunt!!!!

                            Glad you got it going!

That manager needs to have a talk with Mr. Griffith`s smart-arse son in Uvalde. I`ll never enter that dealership again!
