    legal to shoot porcupines in Texas?

    Just curius and could u tan the hide or would all the quills mess it up?

      Yes, they are considered a rodent. Most ranchers want people to shoot them, too.

            those suckers climb trees!!!!

                              we have a few of the free choice trough feeders. the porcupines get up in there and some of the quills shed in the feed. we killed about 4-5 of em last summer. i wouldnt try to mount one, ouch!
