The guys I know in Colorado that tie their own flys are comparable to the guys down south that load their own ammo. They don't even want to talk to you about store bought flys

I started with a shoe box, pair of vise-grips, spool of thread and the bottom half of a ball point pen. Enjoy !

COOL! I love fly fishing, but lack the dexterity (and the patience) to tie my own flies. For those of you that can do it KUDOS!!!

Nothing like catching fish on a fly you tied yourself! I am not good at it, but my buddy up in Belton is a master. He gave me a whole box of saltwater flies he tied 2 years ago for my birthday. I only wish I could tie like him!

I mainly pond fish and river fish with them for freshwater fish but normally 2-3 times a year I stream fish for trout it's fun I caught a 8 pound blue cat with it one day that was fun lol
