    Gonna get high for the first time in a long time!!

    I have always hunted in central and south Texas.... lots of brush and stickers. Hunting from a blind or a tri pod is the way to go down there. Since moving to the Pineywoods I feel the need to change up my strategy a bit - gotta take advantage of all those pine trees. I know it's late but I picked up a climber and can hardly wait to get up in a tree!!!!

    I was going to go with the Summit Goliath but found a Titan and made it mine. I added a bow hanger and the side bags. I am excited about giving it a try - if even for a porker.

    Also picked up a Gorilla harness... partly because I would rather not do a half gainer out of a tree but mostly because I would never hear the end of it at work!

    Headed out Monday to give it a thorough review.

    Going to spend some time in camp shooting from it to get an idea as to angles and such. I figure that 20' should be high enough. Just have to focus on where the arrow exits...

      If you go east on 83 from the Dollar store on 96 then north on CR2866 we are a little over 2 miles up the road at 3 Point. Little road called White Tail road.

      First time up there. I like the place, just have to learn how to hunt it.

        The height is determined by the amount of back cover you have. I've been busted from 12-40'+. I've had to stop on the way up an take out the slack in the cables before, I defiantly suggest a harness for that acrobatic move I usually end up somewhere between 18-25' though. Walmart Christmas Trees on sale after Christmas make excellent false cover to break up your outline too. Get you a few of the screw in bow hangers and fix the Christmas tree limbs to it. It works nicely. I like the ones that don't have a high gloss finish on them. If they do just hit it 1 time with a flat green can of spray paint.
