    Browning Cynergy or Maxus

I am looking @ getting a new scatter gun after the holidays. I am just wondering who here has had experience with these. Browning Cynergy in Mossy Oak or the Browning Maxus hunter.

If you want a camo gun, then you are probably wanting to do some serious hunting with it.
For a serious hunting gun, I'd always go with the semi auto.
For my money, I'd get a gun that wont wear my shoulder out.

OU's are nice, but they are for upland birds, clays, and showing off. A duck or turkey round through an OU can be punishing. A camo OU just doesnt seem right. I would be like buying a cadillac and putting camo seat covers in it.

I own both of these guns and they are really hunting specific.

The Maxus is one hell of a shooter I have taken large ducks to the smallest and fastest doves with it. It will not wear you out, and it is just as easy as an OU to clean. This gun will shoot any ammo that you feed it. I would not take it on a Quail hunt because of the weight and the swing it has. It is slower to shoulder and get on target.

The Synergy is a great upland bird gun. The feel of this gun is quick and light. It is a dream to carry all day long.

Now if you had to choose I would go with the Maxus it is a more versatile gun. Hands down one of the best shotguns of the 21st century.

        I hope this helped.

I have shot both and WOW they are nice. My FIL has a Maxus and a friend of mine as a Cynergy! The Maxus is easily the lightest recoiling auto I have ever shot. The Cynergy has the best trigger of any O/U I have shot.

If I was to get a Maxus I would go with the Carbon Fiber one!

How do the finishes hold up? It is just hard for me to take a really pretty gun and let it get weathered on. Rain-sleet- just the elements how do they wear?
