    Recommendation for Guided Quail Hunt

I am hoping to plan a quail hunt for my father's christmas present. Anyone here have any recommendations for good guides? We previously went to a place in Quinlan, TX called Cullen Ranch however they are no longer in business . My father is in Dallas and I am in Houston so anywhere in between would be preferred. Thanks in advance.

Best to look at places with raised birds. Wild birds are few are far between this year.

Thanks, I will definitely check into Santa Anna. Anyone had experience with Spanish Oak Hunt Club in Thrall, TX (outside Austin)?

Our ranch was wiped out by drought. We will run dogs, but won't shoot any birds. We are in the Dickens county.

                Are those all blues?

Yes they are blues. Looks like the blues did better than the bobs. Although we do have a decent number of bobs. Dry years always favor the blues.

I went to Top flight in Columbus this weekend and i had a good time. It was raised birds but the hunt was free for me and it was the first time i got to see pointers in action. I took 5 phesant. 4 chucker and 4 quail.

Lost Lakes. They are North of Lake Fork. Several hundred acres of planted quail and phesant habitat. All birds are raise, but the people I know that have hunted it said you can't tell.

Wild bob hunt will probably be poor at best, and Blues........I dont care if my dogs ever see another blue
