Whats a fair price for a euro mount??

I am looking at getting my buck euro mounted because I cannot afford a shoulder mount, and after checking the prices of a few local taxidermies the average price was more than $200! I assumed it would be somewhere right around $100, is $200 an average price or is that a little steep? Does anyone have any recommendations on taxis in the brazos valley?

I pay $65 at my taxi, that includes the wood plaque. Its in the DFW area though.

And I'll bet you he boils the skulls, which damages the bone, uses a pressure washer to get the meat off and theres some paint put in there as well for that price.

You get what you pay for though!

I do my own. How does boiling damage the bone? I have some I did 12 years ago and the still look great.

This! He does great work but his sniffer don't work to good anymore. The last two I had done from him turned out GREAT but I had to leave them in my shop for a couple three weeks to "air out".

If you want to do it yourself, get a bucket and macerate the skull.

I have boiled mine for years with a little tide in the water and have never had any problems.
