    My new ride....... Of sorts

Well as some of you know, I decided that 41 was not to old to learn to play guitar. So while I was out on a job in Laredo, I hit up the Guitar Center there in town. After talking with the salesman (cool dude I might add) I found the one I liked and that seemed to fit me best.
I ended up going with an acoustic/electric, that way IF I decide I want to plug in...... I can!

Here she is...... Fender T-Bucket 300 CE

    I'd rather be bowhunting!

Nice! Are you making progress learning how to play?

In the week I have had it, I would say yes............... a little. Been at work with no time to play so I have actually only had a day or so with it in the playing position.

Learning notes and reading music right now.

Very sharp looking guitar, and good luck on learning, once you get a couple of chords down it will start coming together.

That's what I am thinking as well. But I want to give learning to actually read music a go first.

I may end up just doing the chords thing though.....

I never took the time to learn the music. I get the chords and listen to the song and try to get the strum pattern down and then the chord changes. We can get together if you want and I can show you what I know (which isn't much ). I found the hardest part is try to get your hands to do something different than you head.

I just started learning this past summer. Took 10 lessons and threw the guitar down. Now I'm learning to play a steel guitar. Get you an axe and holler at me, I'll show some of the basic cords.

Those t-buckets are pretty guitars. Nice choice

That is the plan. My wife is a very accomplished musician & instructor and her biggest beef is the fact that so many just learn to play by ear which will only get you so far. Learning to read music is the key.

                            Good Luck.

I figure I might as well try to learn right. I at one time LOOOOOONG ago could read music (did a short stint in school band). But for the life of me I am struggling with it now.
