I purchased a video camera this year to start filming my bow hunts. I found it way easier for me to film out of a pop-up blind vs a tripod. I have 5 feeders on my lease and only 2 of them currently have pop-ups. This off season i plan to purchase pop-ups for all the feeders. The ones i was looking at were in the $150-$200 range, so i started trying to find a cheaper solution. And it hit me...why not just buy a tent. This model goes for $50 at walmart. Its 12'x8' and is 6' tall. This would give me wayyy more room for 1/3 of the cost. All it needs is a litlle camo spray paint. What does the green screen say?? crazy or genius??

I would say longevity of the tent won't be very good. Also, it will let a LOT of light in making you VERY visible to any animals that may pass by. It could work, but it's going to take work and you may as well dish out another $50 to get a reasonable pop-up. Check out killzone hunting blinds for a reasonably priced pop-up. I have the turret XL and while it's definitely not the best blind out there, it's worked for me for the past 2 seasons.

I've done it. Waste of time, money and meant that I had to get the deer used to a different blind.
