Be careful where you drop your britches

Today was the big Christmas parade in Bells. Daughter was in it with the band so I went to get some pics of her. I have no idea why they started this thing at 4 pm though, dang near dark when it gets done.
I had a plan though, get to the spot where the parade starts, take my pics and then jump in the truck to get an hour of hog hunting in.
Parade started on time and I was out of there by 4:10.
I get to my hunting spot and start getting dressed. I dropped my jeans and let them fall to the ground so I could stand on them to keep my socks from getting wet. Got dressed and put my boots on and threw my clothes in the floorboard of the truck and got on stand. While walking in I could feel something sticking me in the foot.
Was a beautiful evening and saw a bunch of trophy cardinals.
Got back to the truck and put my hunting clothes in their sack and my street clothes and sneakers back on. I started feeling something start pricking me from waste to ankles.
Come to find out I dropped my britches on some flattened out prickly pear cactus when putting my hunting clothes on.
I must have fifteen or more dang cactus hairs sticking in me now.

Ouch. That happened to me once but the sticking thing turned out to be a scorpion. You talk about shucking some clothes quick, fast and in a hurry. I feel your pain. And learned me a lesson.

Dang. Then you seem to keep finding them in your leg for about a month. Never can get them all out at once.

                  Doh!!!

I was cutting down Cedar in Meridian and bent down to put a chain on a big tree we had just cut down. I wasnt paying attention and put an entire cactus in my left buttock. Had to ride the 4 wheeler standing up back to camp and ask my girlfriend for a favor! OUCH!

I feel your pain,as several years back I was throne off a jack *** & landed flat of my back in a bed of prickly pears.Don't think I will ever forget the discomfort I suffered for several months.

Yeah, but cow patties are relatively painless.
