Weird Axis pic

I have seen this Axis since March.My question is do you think if I let him go his rack will be normal next year or still be unbranched on one side?He doesn't appear to be hurt but I do think he is pretty old.Also any ideas on the length of that one good side?I have one mounted that is 30" and he is way longer than that.My guess is about 34".What do yall think?

Can you determine for sure the tine is not broken off. If he didn't grow it this year, my guess is he won't next. But that's just a guess. Nice A-buck.
