He has been a doe slayer for the last few years, and I ran into a place that he could shoot a buck this year.

We got to the stand about 5:45 and threw out some hand corn from 100 to 125 yards in a line. And then got settled into the stand. He started playing his iPod touch to pass the time

At 7:10 his buck walked in from the left and started eating the hand corn at 125 yards. The buck would not turn broadside for ever it seamed. He finally spun and Hunter B. let the 22-250 bark. The buck ran about 25 yards and piled up on the road coming in. We were walking to look for blood when I glanced down the road and saw the white belly shining. I let him go ahead and track him for practice. He did well! The buck is not the biggest ever but he is a whole lot bigger than my first one, and son and dad have a memory to last forever. 14.75 inches wide 8 point. Aged at 3.5.

        Thanks for looking.
        the smile says it all!
