Speaking of free Agents....looks like Tyson Chandler.....

.....is going to sign with the Knicks!

I thought he and his athleticism were an integral part of the Mavs' Championship run?....

Did I miss why they let him get away?....was it a money deal?

it was totally a money deal. Cuban said for once he wants to be under the cap when the REAL free agency comes around next year for a full season. Apparently the market will be flooded with talent unless a lot of extensions are signed this year.

Agreed, Mavs would have never got there without him!

Signing him this year would hamstring them for years to come. The luxury tax is 2.5X what it used to be, now. And under the new deal if you get into the luxury tax you can no longer participate in "sign-and-trades". I think it also takes away your mid-level exception......but I may not have heard that right.

Mavs are looking to next year. Chandler, JJ, Butler, etc should all be taking new deals with other teams.

He must have slept through last season.

I'm glad they got it done last year. Sounds like they are about to blow it up and the Heat just got stronger with Battier and Curry additions...

Since the NBA nulified the Paul deal, I'm hoping Durant and OKC can put a quash on the Lakers.

Would like to see Durant get one this year.

yep Dallas is out and it will not be fun watching them unless somebody out of nowhere shows up to help Dirk.

Cuban has been living on borrowed time for several years, basicly pushing back the inevitable "re-trenching year". We got to watch them win a title, and they should be competitive again next year....I won't complain.

I'd get ready for a steady dose of Roddy though....
