I thought is was extremely smooth to draw, quite to shoot, no hand shock and a very solid back wall. It is a sharp looking bow too!
I am 6'2" with a 30" draw length and I was looking for a longer bow, with a very smooth draw that was accurate and would be a pleasure to shoot and hunt with. I also wanted to deal with a local pro-shop who carried the bow.
Some other specs I was looking for...
- at least a 36 inch axle to axle
- minimum of a 7 inch brace height or higher
- minimum of 320 IBO.
I was not as interested in...
- a short bow
- a light bow
- a super speed bow.
I have not been impressed with my longer range accuracy of my last two bows speed bows...Mathews Reezen and Bowtech Destroyer 350. I did think the Destroyer was a much better bow for me than the Reezen...it has a lot less hand shock for one. At least that gives you a comparison of where I am coming from.
I am supposed to get the bow in late this week and I will post my thoughts after I have had a chance to break it in and fling a bunch of arrows with it. I did notice a lot of positive reviews on the bow on the web too which helped influence me.
Would love to if I had the time...unfortunately CCR is a little far from Austin for a quick day trip. I'm working with Marty to schedule a shoot at Double G.
Looking forward to shooting the new line up...What does a guy have to do to get in line?
You would think he would help you out Bruce since you are on Page 14 of the 2012 Strother product brochure and the same pic was on the back wall of the booth at ATA.
