I picked up one in 22/250 and it shoots under an inch all day. Picked mine up for $420 or $450 last January. It's mossyoak brush country camo.

It's virtually the same rifle as a 700 varmint or SPS varmint, even then barrel is the same, just machined away on the outside. The varmint models are exactly the same as a 700 Police, only difference is the stock is different. The Police model has an HS Precision stock I believe, and the Varmint models have that crappy tupperware stock. That being said, I can see no reason it (the VTR) won't shoot just as good as any of the others mentioned. Drop it into a good stock and put a better trigger in it and you'll have one heck of a rifle worthy of some really nice glass.

Got one in .243, trigger and stock are just fine. Sub moa all day long. Worth the money.
