dont wear gloves when u spray it... it will get on ur gloves-you will scratch ur nose-youll smell nothing but doe **** juice for the rest of the sit...
I used the buck bomb estrus can twice in palo pinto during the full rut. Half a can both times. I didn't get any more/less/different deer than usual.
I first gave it a little spray. Not really sure any good scent comes out...I had planned to just give a little spray every half hour or so, thinking the can would last me all season. So instead I sprayed half the can. The area of my stand reeked of doe pee. Had the regular spike come in, and a doe.
Hunted a different area the second time, and sprayed the rest of the can. Didn't see any deer at all, but it was windier...maybe too windy for them to come out, but that same night, a 9pt and 11pt were both shot on the ranch in the open chasing does.
So my conclusion is it's a waste of money. Much like calling, I don't think it really will do much unless you have a deer in close proximity. Just my experience with it...wasn't good enough to rate another can. YMMV
Just read another thread with this mentioned.
What are your experiences with this product?
Not very impressed...Ive used them with little to no change in deer behavior between sits using buck bombs, and sits not using buck bombs. I quit buying them. The only benefit I could see was having the scent travel a bit, but the wind will still pick up any scent on a wick or placed on a branch near you, downwind.
Ive found a simple drag is still the best thing for me.
