Got that txt last month called them fought about it for an hour wore that poor girl out!! But really why have all this stuff then not let you use it?? Makes no sense they told me it will be slowed sure enough it goes from 3G to Edge network all the time now. I'm not buying a capped amount so they can charge me when I go over..

Just ridiculous they get away with crap like this.

Unless you live in a big town there service sux anyway and you cant touch the top 5% because the network will fail to connect. All the while the other coach in the office is live streaming the football game from his phone. Literally 3 feet away!

I have Att too but I havent got that email yet; but Ill be watching for it now. I just recently got Netflix on my phone and watched movies on it this past weekend. Both of our phones are on the unlimited plan as well. I just checked my account and Im already over 1GB for this month; so I guess Netflix does pull alot of data.
I been with ATT for long time now and I'll be mad too if they do this; guess I'll see this next month. But I really have unlimted everything; with all my rollover minutes, unlimted mobile, unlimted text and unlimited data. I dont see how they can do that by just cutting you back. I'll have to read up on this now.

If you were the owner of a all you can eat buffet and you charged $10 a meal and that covered 95% of the people except for the 5% who brought in sacks to fill up and take $50 worth home you would be upset as well (kinda like ppl teathering from thier phone, without paying for it so they dont have to pay for internet at home). Just look at it from the companies prospective. From what I hear this is what started most of all the restricting.

I have had my problems with ATT but where I live there really is no other choice if you want a signal. They pulled some crap my wifes old Black Jack. When we bought it you didint have to have a data plan for it. My wife got a new phone and we tried to give the black jack to my daughter. They all the sudden started charging $30 data to the Black Jack and REFUSED to take it off. I complained until I was blue in the face but it didnt matter. I had to give my daughter a old Razor since she didint need data. They changed the rules after we had bought that phone and paid for it with the contract.

Haven't got that email yet, but mostly just Internet, lil you tube. AT&T pretty much sucks with dropped calls and such seem to get worse by the day. They're the only half decent option in my area so I try to ride it out. It sure ain't worth what I pay for it now hope they don't try to raise price.

Yep and my plan I have 2 unlimited phones, 2 limited phones and a limited iPad.
But it looks like no matter the plan your going to be limited either way.

I hope they get a class action law suit for limiting unlimited users & switching/tricking unlimited users to swap plans without consent.
Stupid letters saying if you do not contact us by this date we are going to swap your plan to this.

Yes they do this crap. If you get a iPhone & only want to use it as a phone with no data package. You cannot do it. In 30'days they will activate the phone with a data plan and charge you for it.
So you cannot just use it as a phone without a data package. This is the biggest pile of dog mess I have ever dealt with. Why cant you have a smart phone activated as a phone only. Then use wifi at you house or where ever for data use? I see it as just another scam to get more money out of the user.

Because I paid for a phone and signed a contract allowing me to do all of these things with no restrictions and in "unlimited amounts". On a Phone that At&t spent millons marketing toward me as being able to do all of these things.. if we sent their company several hundred dollars each month.

Now they cant support thier users and instead of eating the cost of thier mistake. They are making tried and true customers foot the bill, with no regard for customer loyalty.
