Need help with Clifford auto alarm

I just bought a truck that has a Clifford auto alarm in it, and there are no instructions. I keep setting the #%$^#@ thing off. I'd like to completely disable the alarm system for good and just use the remote to lock and unlock the door. Can I do that?

I found some user manuals on Clifford's website, and they all talk about a Valet mode. I try the instructions for that, but nothing happens or changes. Alarm system still operational and vocal.

What wires can I cut somewhere to get rid of the stinking alarm system?

The last alarm I tried to disable, disabled my truck.

Take it to an alarm tech.

Don't cut any wires if you want to be driving that truck. take it to a clifford dealer. But I had a Clifford some years back and their was a switch that you tripped when the ignition was on if I remember. Anyway look for a switch under the dash.

      Maybe try this link

Thanks. Yeah, I'm not really gonna cut any wires. That's the link that I dug around on. Problem is I don't know what specific model my alarm is. I need to dig around and find it. Maybe it says on the alarm unit somewhere.

I need to just take it to somebody that can take it off my truck without screwing something up. I have no use for it. Way more trouble than it's worth, IMO.

If anybody here knows how to remove them, come and get it. I'll let you have it if you can get it off of my truck and leave me with a functional and quiet truck when you're done.

I think there should be a valet switch which they usually locate under the dash somewhere. When it in valet mode the light should blink twice. I hope this helps.

I followed the directions to put it into valet mode, but it didn't work. Kept beeping. The only thing that seems to keep it quiet is to push the auxiliary button before the arm or disarm buttons. This works, but I have to do it every time I do anything. I think the unit's programming is screwed up somehow.

Did you have the ignition on when you put it in valet mode. Normally there should be a light on the dash that will stay on.

All of the manuals I looked at were the same. They said to turn ignition on, then turn it off, then push the button/light on the dash. I did that, but the light never came on.

On my old one it had a button and a toggle switch that they mounted under the dash

I'll look for some other button or switch. I was assuming that the little light was also the button.
