      Crap. That sucks.

My ex-FIL lived in Scottsdale and we would go out to visit twice a year and play golf. After my first trip out there I just decided that if I put one anywhere but the fairway I was gonna just drop. Too many things that don't like humans in the desert......like alot of snakes........I hate snakes. Beautiful courses out there though.

Ouch. Ask my daughter about those pretty red berries from a tasajillo plant. She learned about picking those at a very early age.

URGH! Those jumping cholla SUK! And they don't always come out. The spines break off in your skin and get infected and gross. My dog used to get them all the time. I'd always carry a comb on hikes to pull them out. The spines have little hooks at the end like velcro so they're almost impossible to get out.

We were setting up a blind outside of Menard. I was underneath, squatting down tying it of, fell backwards and ended up sitting in cactus. Luckily a lot of them stuck to the seat of my pants and didn't penetrate through (though many, many made it through). Had to ride back to camp with my pants and shorts around my knees. Can't tell what hurt more...my backside or my pride.

got a little excited with the buck in my avatar, when I reach down to grab the antler the first time I ended up squatting in a cactus. Guarantee I always look before squatting now.

forget the rules...there's no way I'd have gone anywhere near a cactus patch like that

looks like he got himself in a sticky situation...

Sorry, it had to be said. lol

I shot an Axis doe last year down by Sonora, when i hit her she rared up on her hind legs and did a trust fall into a ~10x10 cactus patch. Needle-ess to say i walked out of there with more than just that deer.
