Do you deer hunt in the rain??

Supposed to get lots of rain here in CenTex this weekend. Was hoping to fit in some hunting with my son. We hunt from a ground blind so we will have some cover but I'm wondering if it's even worth the drive out to the lease.

Do any of you hunt in the rain? Do deer generally lay up somewhere or do they still move around as usual?

yup. I always have the best luck in it. shot my biggest buck in the mist and drizzle.

I have some of my best hunts in the rain/drizzle/overcast. Shot a doe last year in a full downpour. When the rain lets up, they seem to move and get up on their feet.

As for myself I don't hunt , fish , or have sex in the rain...
I just hate rain water dripping off exposed body parts!
When it rains it's time for various indoor sports.

I would, with the warmer temperatures this year we have had more activity during/after rainstorms according to our cameras.
