Do It Your Self European Mount Hep

I know this has been posted on here but for some reason cant find it when I tried a search. Any way, I need to know what the pasty stuff that you put on a skull after it has been cleaned to bleach it is called and where one might find it.

    Thanks, Jaime

I literally just got done doing a skull 10 minutes ago. I use a half bottle of 40 proof peroxide paste and 1 packet of bleaching powder from Sally's Beauty Supply. Brush it on and leave it 24 hrs. Reapply if needed to touch up any spots you missed.

I soak the skull in 20% clear peroxide first: http://www.sallybeauty.com/on/demand...ze=128.0000+OZ

      Then Mix This: http://www.sallybeauty.com/on/demand...ze=128.0000+OZ

With This:http://www.sallybeauty.com/Clairol-L...cgid=Hair05-06 and use the paste for extra whitening and if its a deer skull to whiten the parts that I can't soak fully in the clear liquid. Make sure you degrease the skull before any of this.

Also helps to put the skull under a heat lamp (or in the sun) while the past is on.

I use the Basic white from salle's with the 40 peroxide, mix into liquidy paste and paint on with one of their brushes. I leave it on for only 12 hours, usually over night. Dont inhale the fumes from the mix, they will singe your nose hairs!!

I did a tutorial on Euro's in the DIY section if you need some tips. After you cake on the mix, wrap it in Saran Wrap, and stick it in front of a heater. Heat activates the whitening agent. Once you notice that the cream is turning frothy, this is a good indication that it's activating. It should only take an hour (rotating the skull every 20 minutes) to completely finish the whitening process. When you go to remove the Saran Wrap, there should be steam pouring off the skull (another good sign). Rinse and wipe off and let dry.

(make sure you don't catch the saran wrap on fire)

Thats funny I felt the same way when I went into the shop here in College Station. When I asked where that "peroxide paste stuff" was the lady laughed and asked me if I was cleaning deer heads. Guess the camo coat blew my cover. She then told me where the bleaching powder powder was and how to mix it.

i've always just used the liquid peroxide from walmart. submerge the skull up to where the antlers are then put paper towels soaked in peroxide over/around the area where the antler meets the skull and the very top of the skull. dip a little uot and rewet the towels occasionally. i let that sit for a minimum of 24 hours and then hang em out in the sun to brighten a little more if you want.

That 40% paste is only 12% actual peroxide. If you have a pool store close go get some Bacquacil Oxidizer, it's 27% peroxide mix that with regular ol baby powder until it a pancake/batter consistency and paste it on.

                          Did you degrease it?
