    Live hunt 11/39/2011 the experiment

Got to the stand 20ish minutes ago. I've got a huge boar on camera that I suspect is running all the other pigs off. I posted a thread this morning about this guy. The wind is perfect. I'm going to stick him with an arrow but Ive got the M1 Garand here just in case he's out of bow range or I don't feel completely comfortable when the time comes to let string go because of the low light.

Just got settled in, have a 100 grain Thunderhead with an Easton Carbon Areo in tow knocked and loaded on the ol' Mathews Ultra Max. I'm gonna try and sit til midnight. Stay tuned.

Here's the target. The experiment is that all the other pigs will start showing back up once this guy is toast.

            Haha. The 39th!!!

Feeder just went off. I noticed the deer activity last night was a little later. I noticed that the small waxing cresent moon was illuminating enough to cast a shadow. The feeder isn't much of a dinner bell when it's sitting on one edge of a 2 acre food plot. So it's usually slow going. I've got 7 different bucks on camera and a few slick heads. My spot has always been thought of as a sausage fest because we hardly ever see does down here.

Where I've got this guy baited out is 12 yards from me and anything in my feeder pen is 20yrds and under. If he steps foot in this pen he's gonna get greased.

My view out front, notice my 1987 model Martin sights that went out of style 15 years ago. They still work great.

The view to my left. The trusty M1.

Thanks, it was made in '53 by International Harvester. I love this gun.

All I saw tonight were two illegal deer, a fork horn and a basket rack nine point. We'll be back again for Mr. Piggerpants. He got away unscathed tonight.
