Not having a place to hunt really sucks! I will never be in this situation again!!!!!!

No deer yet, only pigs. Third archery season. This his as tough a hunting as it comes.

Nothing for me yet.. passed on a doe opening day of archery season...dumb decision. I haven't had a deer within 80yrds of me since then. My land is cursed

Pops and I have a couple of ranches in South Texas to hunt this year....we haven't made it south yet though. One is in Zapata County and the other in Starr County near Falcon Lake. Both ranches are owned by an old family friend....oil & gas has been good for them and both ranches are several thousand acres with no lease hunters, family only. Shot a real nice 8 pointer years ago on the ranch near Falcon......been literally 25 years now GULP!

We might hit it just after Christmas and on into January.....it's finally cooling down now. Gulf was 71 degrees last weekend...still a bit too warm way south but things are looking good now.

The drought has killed us this year. I have not even come close to pulling my bow off the hook. I'm 25 sets in and am about to turn my attention to shooting 5+ year old culls....not 8 points that might be down because of drought, but pure junk antlers.

I havent killed yet, but havent hunted either. I fly back to the States in 2 weeks for a 3 week vacation. I plan to take 3 or 4 deer and a few pigs over this period at home. With as much corn and protein as they are eating, I shouldnt have a problem getting a few arrows off the rest.
