30-06 preferred bullet weight

I have used Federal 165 gr BTSP and never had a complaint. I also found a box of 168 gr BTHP Match ammo once. Those were brutal but I never could find another box. Think they were Hornady.

Roll my own with Nosler 150 grain hunting ballistic tips. I have tried heavier and different bullets but my Remington 700 likes these best. I haven't had any complaints from the deer, pigs and coyotes that were DRT either.

165-168gr for me. My 06 shoots them better than the 150s or 180s.

150 or 165 for deer size game. 180 for larger.

weight wise, whatever shoots most accurately out of your gun. My marlin likes the 180's a bit more than 150s. Just make sure its a bullet type correct for the animal you're goin after.

165 gr moly coated Remington PSP bullets. Very accurate in my rifle and the cost for a thousand is very good.

150's are fine for WT deer
