Every county is different....depends on the appraiser.

In Burleson County for a wildlife exemption you must have a biologist come out and have him formulate a plan to submit to the county. Also you must submit proof that you are doing the items on your list by submitting pictures yearly.

I don't know the straight answer to this but I do know the new form you have to fill out for your tax number to be farm use Ag exempt specifically says
Wildlife feed/supplies is not tax exempt

You can have it wildlife exempt and still graze cattle on the place as a management tool.

I've used this company, and been very happy.

Wildlife Management is a great alternative for anyone with property in Ag now. Choose Plateau Land & Wildlife Management for expert support in converting your agricultural or timber land to a wildlife management exemption.

this might help for the new year. it supposed to eliminate people from using the exemption that dont need it.

Information about Texas tax exemptions for farmers, ranchers and timber producers.

This is for who does and doesn't pay sales tax only. Has nothing to do with property tax.

I didnt know I could rest it like that, I will discuss that with the appraiser. I wouldnt mind planting alfalfa fields or something like that, keeping water troughs and shooting yotes and other predators. I would be saving money by paying the taxes on the land rather than feeding these bottomless cows this year

not sure, but i have heard that you can remove the livestock for a few years and still keep your exemption

Im times of drought there are no mandatory requirements for an ag evaluation.. you do what you have to do until times get better.

However your ag practice needs to be typical of what is occuring in the area..

Pm me if you need some help or have some questions.
