Nebo Redline Flashlight

Okay so I posted on the "Best flashlight for less than $50" thread and nobody has responded so I figured I'd start a new thread.

Couple of questions for those of you who own one.....

What model do you own?
Have you noticed a decrease in light output over time?
Do you believe that it is truly a 220 lumen light?

These questions are based on a handful of negative reviews I have found. Thanks!

pretty cool lights. havent owned one. they are pretty bright for what they are.

I know a lot about led lights and while this light probably puts out close to 220 lumens, there is no way it will run 4 hours without dimming on 3 AAA batteries. I'm sure they are using a Cree XRE led and to get 220 lumens the led has to run around 1000ma to achieve it. Three AAA batteries only have about 1200ma. What this means is that for this light to have a 4 hour run time that there is no way it can put out 220 lumens for more than one hour and I will bet after running the light for more than 10 minutes that it will start dimming and after a hour you will have a light that is putting out well under 100 lumens. I also did a little research on the light and it looks like the nebo light is having problems with the led burning out. Some people think it is from putting to much power to the led but it is more likely from poor heat sinking. I would keep looking if I were you.

No. It doesn't come close to 220 lumens. I own a Surefire LED Defender that puts out 200 lumens, and ran it side by side with a Redline Nebo to see and it wasn't even close. I bet the Redline puts out 70-80 lumens at best.

It will dim after a while but change batteries and your gtg.

i have 4! we buy them by the case and get them for about 18 buck a piece. i love the light!
