    Are the defensive linemen required to line up across from the offensive linemen?

    no, you can line up in the gaps. look at the D end he can line up wide.

      Nope! You can play with 11 corners if you want.... Im not sure
      Anyone has to be on the line or not but I think not

        I asked because of the play Miami ran in the first quarter where the center and QB were on the end of the line.

        The defense lined up like normal, across from the O linemen. They could have put 1 guy on the other side and he could have just walked to the QB untouched.

          Offense is the only one that has to have men on the line. When they overload that side you have to watch for the trick play, It's mostly done to play mind games

            There was one guy over there, if not Moore would have ran it around the corner himself. If everyone stays in ther normal position, Bush is going to take it to the house behind 5 300+lb. men blocking corner backs.
