Nice cow ! She'll taste great. What recurve are you shooting ?
I'm more than willing to give so advice on hunting Wyoming. Know our area pretty well and elk habits but no expert by any means. Been hunting in Wyoming and living in Laramie for 31 years or so.
October may bring cold and snow, be prepared for cold.
Busy time of the year for us so I may be a bit getting back to pms.

The Elk Thread
Killed a gnarly bull on Monday in New Mexico. Not a giant by any means but I couldn’t have been happier. He tore up some trees and bugled in my face before I shot him. He must have damaged in velvet as his right side wasn’t broken off it just ended in a round point. Fun and tough hunt. Saw lots of elk but dang they are hard to get close too.

pms.
We will see, I’m fairly certain that she is significantly older than the bulls I’ve shot.
Sweptwing. Had it since 2002, back when Rick was building them.

Nice work. There were a hundred elk down from the Gallatins near our place on private land, I’m going up early tomorrow to see if I can find them on public land.
