In northern New Mexico now. Hunted in tee shirt today. I've seen 3 bulls but could get on them.

Hunt hard! Temps are going to fall this weekend and we the locals are hoping this 90 degree plus afternoon nonsense is over.

Where are the LDP's? We have quite a few TBH's chasing wapiti right now, surely someone has connected already.

Dark timber, wallows and water is where you need to be right now with it being so hot. 96 for the high today here in Central Wyoming but Friday through the weekend will be low 60's and possible rain here in Casper.

Tough hunting but I have a couple of friends who got their elk this past weekend. Got them packed out as quickly as possible and I to cold storage.

Went out last weekend. Hot. Did get on some bugles very early in the morning. Could hear some from the tent at night. Spooked a nice six point that was coming in silently while hustling to get to a bull that was bugling at us. My buddy passed on a cow I called in. Overall awesome weekend spent in the mountains laughing, hiking, and getting excited about elk. Heading back out for another 5 days in two weeks. Hopefully cooler temps and more rut activity.
