one bigger, but I sure will try!

A group of 4 of us are looking to go elk hunting the season of 2022.we are all experienced hunters and have been hunting mulies in Colorado on public land as a DIY hunts for past 14 years. We have all equipment if we decide to go this route...Now its time for a good elk hunt. Any information any of you may have would be greatly appreciated. Please send me some ideas, areas, units, outfitters, etc for me to get in touch with. It can be New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona, Utah or Montana. Any and all info is greatly appreciated.

Points in Az, Wy, Co. Hoping for a home run in New Mexico again, and should draw an archery tag in Montana.

Should draw Montana archery elk
Putting in for Wyoming antelope with a few points. Waiting on a decent trophy unit but will put in just in case. At least get another pref point out of it.
Then our usually New Mexico elk draw. If ya don’t play you can’t win !

Hunted 71 in 2016 2nd rifle. Wasn’t great then but archery may be better. I’ll be glad to tell you what I know. I think it got hyped up a couple years before we went and got hunted pretty hard. Kind of what I got from other hunters around the unit. May be better by now.

I put in for elk and deer in NM. I’ll draw a guaranteed deer tag in Colorado and if I have to I’ll eat the $300 and get my points back if I draw elk

I'll likely be putting in for points in CO for another year. I'll have 9 for both elk/deer. Also put in in Montana again. After that I'm green. I need to research other states; NM, Arizona, Utah, etc. I'd like to start acquiring points elsewhere.
