I found a great little gps app for my phone that works totally offline. Let's you save an area and use on the mountain with no signal. Offers a variety of maps too aerials, topos.
OfflineMaps + .......is the name of the app. I hate having to carry and check a GPS and my phone too. Much bigger screen to look at than a GPS for these 46 year old eyes.

Only nine days until I leave - I'm losing my mind!! I will be in SoCO for nine days of hunting elk (no bear tag this year). Can't wait for the cool weather!

Couldn't sleep last night because of the excitement. Also going through my pack list in my head trying to think of anything I forgot. Season opens in 11 days but I'm leaving in 8.

I just realized that I will be spending more days with a bow in my hand in CO than I will be in Texas this year. Couple more years and I'll spend all Sept up there.
