What camping pillows do yall use? I found one at the camping shop but it was $40, not for me.

I'm using the Cocoon Hyperlite pillow and my wife has the Ultralite. They only down side to this pillow is they are kinds slick. I had my wife make a small pillow case for them.

I take a travel size pillow case with zipper from Walmart and stuff it with my jacket or clothes at night.

One of these days I will try a solo hunt but I'm still way too much of a newbie for solo right now.

I got a new sleeping bag 18 oz (ZPACK Quilt/Sleeping Bag) this year that knocked 2 lbs off my pack but it wasn't cheap. And last year I got a new tent 1 lb 11 oz (Big Agnes Fly Creek UL1) that knocked 2 lbs off.

I was looking hard at the 20 degree quilt but didn't pull the trigger fast enough. Will just use my 20* down bag from Marmot. I love it, but really want to try those quilts, especially since I side sleep and roll a ton.

Headed to unit 81 sept 17-27 for my 1st elk hunt luckily I'm goin with some guys that have been hunting there for the past 10 years so I'm pretty excited

We will be there at the same time.

Just got off the phone with a biologist who recently finished a helicopter elk survey in our unit, they are 2,000 elk over target. Apparently the mild winter and wet spring helped a lot of cow/calves. Should be fun, now to see if I can get stickbow close.
