Ha, I think I resemble that remark....rain sucked for sure but I had opportunities and got into elk every day. It's funny, as miserable as all that rain was I'd love to be back in it hunting.

I read of guys with 3rd season tags in the Gila that could not even get in to hunt because the access roads were rivers....now that sucks!

Wasn't bad where I was....pretty much all the roads were open and accessible. Water was seeping out of the ground in the middle of nowhere, which was odd.....but the rut was still on and the bulls were plentiful!!!! We scouted the last weekend of the first hunt....and any roads washed out were already jacked. Rains definitely played a card....but I think it just depended on where one was hunting!

Looks like I'll be guiding/hunting with a friend during second season for bull elk for him, then I have a third season cow elk tag for myself as well.
I just thought my elk season was over, now I have another eight days of hunting.
