Yesterday I shot a young fallow doe and spike. both head shot, gutted, skinned, quartered and in the coolers within an hour. Full on iced down! I drained the excess water and added more ice this morning. When I started cutting the 2nd one up I noticed, not sure if it's the doe or spike, small dark spots throughout the meat. like small bb sized deep purple spots, like it was hit with buckshot. i don't see any kind of worm or bad smell. any ideas? should I be worried? I'll post a pic shortly.
