Northeast Texas Rut? Did I miss something?

Gotta say I'm a bit confused on this one boys, I saw where they usually start to rut anywhere from November 4th - 11th but I have in the stand almost every weekend for the past month or so and I have not seen a single chase or any sign whatsoever of "the rut" I know we had a full moon during the allotted time but usually I'd see a few signs. I hunt mostly in Hopkins county (Sulphur Springs) and its got me really thrown off as to what happened. I know there have been a lot of factors this year that could have really screwed things up for us but again I would usually see some indications of it. Anybody else out these parts notice this as well or is this a state wide thing?

I hunt in the panhandle and usually see pre rut activity in that same time frame. Wednesday was the first pre rut activity that I've seen. A few bucks were out looking but the does were not interested at all. Hopefully this week the action will pick up some.

It is happening right now around here. Saw a big buck tending a doe last night. Rattled in 2 young 8 pt"s yesterday.

well I guess I need to make a trip then, sure wished it would cool off a little bit. I went last Friday and hunted all morning and saw NOTHING but wouldnt you know it as soon as I packed up and was pulling out of the driveway from my sisters house I had 2 does and a nice 8 run right in front of me but he wasnt chasing them. He was actually running away from them or it looked that way!

They should be cranked up good right now, despite the lousy weather. Wish I was in the woods.

I am from south Hopkins county and with my job I am up and down the roads all day. I have seen alot of deer moving the last week and a half all through the day.

Last year I had seen several chasing scenes, this year notta. I was out in the field 5 days of my 7 day break, saw bucks and does but they were always separate. The bucks were definitely cruising.

I hunt Morris county just down the road from you and it seems like they're more interested in the acorns and grass than they are in chasing the ***

I also hunt in Hopkins county. On November the 6th I saw a buck chasing one doe around. Would not give her any rest at all. The next Thursday (the 10th) the same buck was under my feeder with five other deer (3 does a yearling doe and one spike) and none of them acted like anything was going on at all. (FYI that particular buck wont get to chase any more does around). I went back and hunted last Friday and saw very little deer movement at all. I am off three days next week and plan on hunting every day so maybe they will be up and at em.

Dates don't matter. Hunt as much as you can 7 to 14 days after the full moon.

                    They are running hard here.

The little green up since the rains is making things a little tougher.

Saw one buck chasing last Saturday morning....went back this Wed, just home and no chasing not really coming to feeder but cleaning it up at night. Lots of ground scrapes when I got there worked them till Friday then stopped....I see lots of doe movement but not a lot around the stand....Not going back till after Thanksgiving....Is it ever going to get cold..???

I hunt in Cass Co., outside of Douglassville. I spent the majority of yesterday in a stand and didn't see a deer. I didn't even see a squirrel. Before yesterday we've been seeing a lot of deer, but no chasing. Hopefully the'll start soon.

In Grayson and Denton counties, they were in full swing by Nov 10 at both places I hunt. The big buck killed just south of me was killed on the 11th chasing a doe and was a mile away from where he normally lives, which is on the land I hunt.
