Using a golf range finder for hunting?

Do any of you use a "golf" rangefinder to hunt with? I found a golf range finder for a really good price today and picked it up. What is the difference between a regular old range finder and one designed for hunting and one designed for golf. They are all designed to get the distance of what is between the crosshairs, so they should all work the same, shouldn't they? I plan to use it for hunting but wanted to see what the green screen thinks about the differences? Oh it is a nikon callaway LR1200 by the way.

    Thanks

if you get the golf rangfinder that has the slope/angle feature you actually get a more accurate yardage from your tree stand...usually the golf rangefinders are full sized and require two hands

Oh yeah. I have a callaway rangefindr that I use. When it comes hunting season I put a camo case on it instead of the bright yellow one.
