Average price for bricklayer? Are there any masons on GS?

I have a suspicion I am being over charged. Does anyone know the average cost for a bricklayer? I know there are many variables, but just looking for an average cost per sq ft for standard "king size" bricks. I am not supplying the sand/mortar/etc, just the bricks. If you need more details feel free to ask, but a ballpark would be helpful. Thanks!

I have a friend and he charges by the 1000's of brick...depending on brick size...standards are around $350 or so/per 1000...at least last time I asked him

When I built homes we paid 300 per 1000, we supplied sand and mix and kept a crew busy everyday.

The mason I hired to brick my addition gave me a price for labor only at $350 per 1000 or $600 per 1000 with bricks included to match my house.

$350 per K labor only is pretty close. Any stone will be extra. What is he trying to get you for?

its also depends on how many bricks you got to lay, we did a whole sub division at about 280/1000 but it had about 150k brick on it and they supplied all materials.
