where can you try out a baseball bat before you purchse it.

I have a dad on my team that wanted to know if I knew of a place where he could let his kids try out a bat before he purchased it. He said that someone told him that there was a store that let you do this, but I dont know of any. Has anyone else ever seen a store that alows this?

By try out, I mean to "demo" the bat at a store or something.

I haven't seen it at all. The kids on my sons team are real good about letting other kids try their bats out.

Around here I believe you can do this at some of the Indoor Batting Cage businesses where you can practice or get hitting lessons.

If a batting cage has a pro shop they will normally have a few demos.

Big difference in trying a bat out against a dimpled machine ball and the real deal. My advice is to simply have the kid use some of the other kids bats and see what he likes.
