Need Counsel on Pimping my Chevy Tahoe for the Ranch

My wife just donated her high mileage 2002 Chevy Tahoe to my hunting use and am relocating it permanently to the deer lease. It needs certain modifications to make it more appropriate:

-Ranch Hand or Similar Front Bumper-prefer winch ready
-Post mounted Hand operated halogen spotlight for drivers' side

Does anyone know a place (or places) in greater Houston or Livingston/ Lufkin areas where I could secure these at a reasonable price and have installed? I would prefer used for economic reasons but will buy new if reasonable. Also might like fog light on cab.

call ranch hand and ask them about scratch and dent models - I got mine for half off of regular price.

I would also suggest a roof mounted go-light instead of a post mount light.

If you get a front bumper with a receiver in it, you can use the winch and a slide in post to winch up deer

Found them (Go-Lights) but do you recommend magnetic mount where there's overhead brush?

            Cup holders......lots of cup holders!

Floor board liners, flash light holders screwed to the dash, cheap camo seat covers from Cabelas with pockets on the back (for gloves, TP, koozies, multipliers, etc), aftermarket stereo with ipod hookups, cheap tool box in the back (with zip ties, hand saw, hatchet, wd-40, duct tape, rope, small air compressor, and extra koozies)........all things I've come to appreciate in my huntin truck.

Rod speaks the truth with the front receiver......good for road feeders, stretching wire, bumper dumpers, and all kinds of good stuff.

I put a brush guard and those high powered long range KC light on my truck. Put two of them on the brush guard and I use it alot to night spot deer just to look over the ones that hang around camp and it's nice for spotting hogs.

Sounds awfully similar to ours, Dale. But for the life of me, I can never find that ball point when it comes time to fill out a tag...

I keep one on the visor all the time........but it was like locating Hoffa's corpse a couple weeks ago when dad needed to fill out a tag.....thanks for reminding me!

I'm also curious what you had to buy her to get her to "donate" the Tahoe?

I'd be checking the classifieds or CL or kingwoodyardsales.com for used.

Nerf bar steps on the side will help keep the brush off the sides.
I would get a slide in carrier for the back also, makes it a lot easier for hauling your deer back to camp.

I bought her my company Tahoe with 60k miles when it was time to be replaced and leasing company fixed it like showroom before I did.

She loved the Tahoe when I drove it and I saved $25k over a new one. She's a saint, what can I say?
