Ok heres the story behind this buck. I invited my girlfriend to go along with me on this hunt which started out on the weekend of 10-27-07 and we ended up staying for 5 days total. She is such a trooper she has never been hunting before much less bow hunting which means taking the scent free baths and all. I cant say enough cause she was so quiet in the ground blind and did a awesome job of videoing. Well on the evening of 10-28-07 we were in one of my ground blinds filming some deer that were eating corn when all of a sudden about 100 yards or so i looked past her side of the blind and seen him coming straight towards us. i told her to sit still and just hit the record button and that a big buck was coming. Before you knew he was in the picture frame and started to eating corn. At that time you already knew what hit me yep BUCK FEVER. She whisspered just breathe, I get real nervous at these times but thats what keeps me doing it cause its that good nervous. I slowly raised up the Elite Synergy and with a slow quiet draw and in perfect form i heard her say one more time just breathe and at that time i released unleashed hell on him. The muzzy 3 Blade found its way thru the back side of his ribs on my side and out the offside shoulder. As he made a quick get away she zoomed the camera out to keep him in the frame and then zoomed back in on him where he stopped only a mere 35 yards before stopping and looking back at us thats when he fell over and the emotions got crazy. This was my first ever filmed hunt and to get the drop on video well i can honestly say ITS PRICELESS. Having her there doing this with me was the best thing ever. She know has her own bow and she cant wait till next year as i cant either so i can get her first hunt on video as well. She also did the picture taking as well.
