Never seen a buzzard eat a buzzard, but I wouldn't put it past them!

Guess I should of said "I haven't never seen a buzzard eat a buzzard". See dead buzzards on the road everyday and never seen one being eaten by one of their own.

Guess you could put it behind a Chinese resturant. It'll be stir fry special #8 by next day...

Coyotes won't eat their own. Pigs would probably eat a coyote(never seen it). Buzzards definately will eat a coyote.

I shot two coyotes last year on the same day, two weeks later the coyotes had eaten the two dead ones, for the most part anyway. Had dragged them down into the bottom of the ravine and tore them to pieces, where I hunt there isn't any hogs. Just deer and coyotes it seems.

I've killed coyotes off a dead coyote pile. Let cold hard winter get here and its like a buffet line. They are the ultimate survivor!!!

Most likely has something to do with the availability of carrion/prey. I've seen dead pigs lay on the side of the road 'til they just "melt away" from the maggots. I've seen others be gone in a matter of hours. If the buzzards have enough "preferred carrion" (if there is such a thing) they can pick and choose what they eat. I'll agree that eating a road kill skunk sounds pretty nasty but I have seen buzzards fighting over the pieces. Don't really know about coyotes but if I bet times were hard they wouldn't hesitate to eat one of their own.
