    Check your stands!

My buddy is in the Hannibal Hospital with a broke ankle. Strap broke on the stand and his ankle hung on a step. Don't have the whole story, just happened this morning. 11 screws and 2 plates, sounds like it dang near ripped his foot off. And he lives in Vegas, he's a long way from home. Send a prayer, if you don't mind. His name is Brian.

100% tied off all the time. It’s the only way to go.

Yep, I go ahead and replace the strap on my ladder stands every year. Those things rot pretty fast.

Sorry to hear about your buddy.

Ouch! What happens in Texas don't always stay in Texas!

              Sent up for your buddy!

I use a chain to back up the ratchet strap.

That's terrible. Definitely puts me on high alert for the next climb up.

I use mostly ground blinds for that reason.

                              On the way up
