No sir...the score of the rack is what is a BIG deal.

Pretty sure the native vegetation in south Texas has better nutrients than the rest of the state and there are plenty of B&C bucks taken on low fence ranches that weigh more than 160 lbs. Heck that is a mature Hill Country deer.

Here is something that will put it into perspective, and I hate using this for a point, BUT more hunting shows go to midwestern destinations because they are affordable and produce big deer. The SOTX deer are equally impressive, BUT are not nearly as affordable. And with the HF and feeding programs, a lot of folks are turned off by that. KS represents a place that anyone can reasonably afford to go hunt and kill a deer like they do on TV. SOTX does not unless you have some pretty deep pockets. That could also be a deciding factor on which is better.

I would choose the place that affords the best chance for a good deer that is also not a major hit to the wallet. KS all the way there!!

Man, look at the brutes on the Kansas trailcam thread. Of course northern deer have bigger bodies. You make a very valid point bowhuntntxn. I wanna go....lol.

I've hunted all over the golden triangle my whole life and I love it. I have hunted Kansas 3 years straight........ I would definitely pick Kansas.
