    Sticker Sighting and SHOUT OUT!!

Heading east today from Concan I saw THREE stickers!!!

1st- Gold Ford pickup pulling a grey utility trailer (empty).

2nd- A white Chevy 4x4 with black Rockstars. You honked at me and we followed eachother for a while.

3rd- A little red SUV like a Suzuki or something with a smaller sticker in the top left corner, a lady driving. Tried honking at you but you never looked over.

Had a friend riding with me and had to explain the sticker to him. When the white Chevy honked at me and he then realized the brotherhood and apreciated it!!

NOW FOR THE SHOUT OUT AND SEVERE THANKS TO CHEW!!!

Last night I shot a doe and during the night something took my head and tag, probably a chupracoba. In extreme worry I texted Bobby Minchew (Chew) and he called a game warden friend of his and told me what to do. Not only did I realize I was tagging my deer wrong but he helped me out getting my deer home from Concan in a legal manner!! Bobby, I know I texted you to say thanks but you deserve to hear it here also brother, thank you Sir!!

We are to tag the meat itself and not the head. Game wardens will let it slide when there are a couple deer in the ice chest. Simply slice a hole in the ham for instance and push a zip tie through it and attach the tag to that. I thought I was doing right all these years and was informed today that is actualy wrong.

Last year I had a "close call" and found the head, this year it was gone. I have learned I will never let that happen again. What if that was my deer of a lifetime????

CreekBoy, Did the white Chevy honk at you also? That is how I recognized him.

So how do you have proof of sex if you don't keep the head?

I dont plan on leaving any hide attached to a hindquarter in the ice chest either

Man need to ask about this one. I have been checked a couple of times with the tag attached to the deer's ear with a zip tie. placed head in a corn sack outside the cooler in the bed of the truck. Gw never mentioned I had my tag in the wrong place. Hmm. I always thought if you had the proof of sex(head). tag filled out. Log on back of license filled out. Quartered up animal not missing any edible meat. You would be good to go

the little red Sport trac was me (sorry did not respond then, was running on a very low amount of sleep and was just hoping to get home before I passed out), was wondering who was honking at me. Looked in time to see you waving and the sticker. Was heading home from Operation orphan and quick morning hunt at our lease. My Hnsband in blue dodge in fromt was also wondering about the honking.

We always keep the back left back leg, less messy than the head, and can tell difference between sex

I was in the white Chevy! I would've followed you all the way back to the Houston area if my wife wasn't feeling sick. We had to stop to get her some sinus medicine...
