    Look: 12 pointer down

We actually shot this buck twice this fall, once during bow and yesterday during rifle.

We followed this buck all summer and fall with our tail cams. I had PM'd this story in the last week by saying that my son shot it with a cross bow on opening bow weekend at 30 yards but it survived b/c the shot was high and forward----see photo and note the scar on left shoulder.

Well last night at 5:40pm it was crossing under the opening near some powerlines while cruising for does. It actually stopped to watch my hunting buddy leaving his stand to retrieve a 150 lb pig he shot 5 just minutes earlier.

It stood broadside at 120 yards and only ran about 20 yards following the clean kill shot.

My son was elated to hear the news and now we again can share the moment of the father-son hunt that was meant to be 6 weeks ago!!!
