I would suggest other school districts than Leander ISD. Liberty Hill is a good "small" district. good luck in your search.

Leander is just a starting point. It really just matters to where i find a solid job. I have had two great leads and resume sent.
Tim, a mechanics job is mainly what i am after. Again, i am open to anything, but i have by far more experience with automotive mechanic stuff and chemical water treatment technician. The oil and gas experience i have is pretty irrelevant in the Austin area, but i have decent experience there also.

Liberty hill would be my pick. If you know your stuff call Hamilton diesel. They are the best around. Also talk with ranger excavation. We need people but you need a cdl with experience.

I am no expert by any means, but I'm no rookie. The apprentice technician with 100 percent training and schooling would be nice, mainly because i want to turn it into a career, i am not looking for just a job to get by.
I do not have a CDL, I knew i should have got it, but i never did.
          Thank you for the tips.

Look into Samsung for anything that might help. We have put on over 1200 people in the last year and looking for more.

Want to trade places? I've been trying to move away for years (well not trying too hard yet)

Leander does have good schools. Will be even better once my wife starts teaching soon.

I can not be much help as far as jobs, but if you need anything else like a quick visual of a house or something shoot me a PM. Homes are not cheap here but if you want to get a fixer-upper you can sometimes get a good deal on a hud foreclosure. I can get you that site if you want to browse and start watching prices.

What? We going to start a who's better than who war?

Liberty Hill is pretty good though. I have to admit. It's better than some of the Leander schools but not all of them. Leander has gotten too big IMO.

Benefits are amazing!! I pay $130 a month for health dental and vision this is for the wife, three kiddos and myself.
Our bonus last quarter was 3.5 weeks of pay.

                        The pay is good.

If you're not dead set on Austin/Leander area... might want to take a look in the Boerne/ Fair Oaks Ranch area... that place is exploding with growth right now.

Boerne and comfort ISD both in the area too.

If your just looking at schools the best in the area is Eanes followed by Georgetown. It is hard to afford moving into Eanes ISD area though
