Yes, really. I know what you mean. It's kind of like every "what kind of snake is this" thread. Everyone one them is usually a rat snake of some sort, but people keep posting. I doubt that the OP posted this for any other reason besides the fact that he honestly didn't know what kind of snake it was.

Yup, copperhead. No recorded deaths from one of those but they are a nasty little bite. Well, let me say this, no recorded deaths, last time I looked.

I believe there is at least one recorded death. Maybe in the Chattanooga are but I am pretty sure it was Tennessee. As I recall, not actually in the wild but a guy who kept snakes. Think he let it bite him. Those folks up in Tn.!?
