    What can I do??

Have not seen a deer during daylight hours in almost 4 weeks. Does anyone have any suggestions to help get the deer to show up during daylight?? Starting to get very frustrating.

    Quick running feeders...
Or just spin them in the a.m.
Don't feed them unless you are there.
    That may help.
If there's food on the ground at night, that's when they'll be there. But if there's only food on the ground durring the day, they'll have no choice but to show up durring the day.

Just a few suggestions that may help.

When I was young we hunted a place that had deer but we never saw them during daylight hours. You would see them at night while varmint hunting and we knew they were there but I hunted for 3 years before I ever saw my first deer during daylight.

My suggestion is that you hunt a place(area) with a larger deer population. I don't know where you are at and how many deer the county is known for but if thepopulation isn't there your chances of seeing/killing them are greatly reduced.

I hunt in a county that has a 4 doe limit and I'm not seeing that many deer now compared to past years. Late rains have greened everything up and they just aren't coming to feeders like years gone by. I'm sure after a heavy frost and all of the green stuff dies they'll start coming in.

I sure don't blame you for being frustrated. It gets old getting mentally jacked up to go hunting and then not seeing a thing.

        Same boat here.
Yesterday noticed that green acorns were still falling from the oak trees. This coupled with a full moon and the recent rain has really got the "normal routine" running sideways.
As long as they have the option (acorns vs. corn) I think I will have to be patient until the accorns are either eaten or rot in place.
Cut the corn feed amounts down accordingly so if they don't get there soon after it goes off the squirrels, cardinals and bluejays will clean most of it up.
Yesterday I sat from dawn to dusk. One small 6 pt. came in at noon.

First off, how big a place are you hunting, a smaller place with too much traffic and pressure will put the deer nocturnal. On a large place too much pressure will put deer nocturnal.....see where I'm going....a deer learns very quickly when humans are around...once that happens they will only come out at night......

I set my timers earlier a couple of weeks ago and the deer have started coming earlier. 6AM and 4PM

Hunt during the week if you can. They know you are there. I hunted mid day yesterday and had deer come by and feed.

                This is my thoughts ^^^^^^

My place is small, 350 acres for two people. It has ranch and oil field traffic which doesn't bother them.

I know I've been busted twice leaving my ground blind and my dad has been winded two or three times.

We've had a few very smart foot stompin, snortin alarmist does. NOW we have one left as I've killed two of them.

Here's what I've noticed at my spot. Trail camera shows good activity 4 out of 5 days but when I'm on stand they're very spooky and take forever to commit.

My thoughts are the "HAND CORN" is giving me away, I scatter about 10 pounds of golden love. That's the only thing different about when I'm there. They'll come just to the edge of the corn and then back to the edge of the brush they go.

My next set is going to be from the tree stand that I rarely use and NO hand corn and NO walking into the feeder area!

Don't hunt the feeder. Find some trails the converge or better yet if you can find some scrapes to hunt. Pretend like the feeder is not there. Hunt like you are on public land and can not use a feeder.

                      Hunt the oaks.

One or two handfuls of widely spread corn if you use any at all.

Let someone else hunt your stand, they will see deer.

                        Have you tried hunting midday?

find there bedding area set up between there and food source, also put a water source near feed area might help.

I'm beginning to think that they're being spookish more during the rut, and if they here any noise in an area then they won't come near that area during the day. Hint the feeder going off, we just throw a few bags of corn or some bb squared out and we see something most of the time, the wind will keep them from moving too much during the day along with the acorns and if the girls come in and a buck gets locked down with her, they won't move for a few day, try throwing two bags of corn in a pile deep in the woods where it's also easy to get in/out and throw some strawberry jello powder on it and they should find it and you will be up in dense cover where they feel safe

Too much pressure....when you hunt a stand you need to hunt smart...if the wind is not right don't hunt the stand...no matter how much you try to cover your scent, you will still have some.....scent comes from your body and your clothes. The mouth has a million smeels that you can't cover, including mouthwash/toothpaste, clothes have even more, allot of folks feel that the new carbon suits work, they help I"m sure, (the pocket books of the manufacturer), but what about your watch band, under your ring finger, socks not covered by your scent freee boots, hair, ...etc....Deer are going to wind you if they come down wind. Now depending how excitable they are is the question. Don't hunt the same stand all the time. The deer will know when you are there long before you know they are there.....give the stand a rest....
